Let’s go fishing

Get to know rod-fishing equipment and lures and go fishing at nearby shores or on a boat. In spring, more fishing is done with lures from boats while in autumn the emphasis is on rod-fishing. In winter, ice-fishing is done, when the ice conditions allow. Who will get the biggest catch? In winter, there is a charge for transport. The distance from Marttinen is 10 km.

Stand-up paddling

Paddle with a long paddle while standing on a board like that of a surfboard. This is SUP or stand-up paddling. At the Marttinen youth centre, you can SUP in the waters nearby.

Church boat rowing

We row a guided route in a 14-seat church boat, as was traditionally used for rowing to church. Pull… pull... we’re all in the same boat. It is possible to change the rowers during the activity.

Canoeing around the island

We paddle around the island of Marttinen, through the canal and towards the  Herraskoski rapids. With good cooperation with your paddling team, it's usually possible get through the rapids without getting wet. The water and weather conditions affect the choice of route.

NB! For those over 12 years old. Available between May 1 and September 30.

Canoeing on the lake

We canoe in the beautiful waters near Marttinen. Depending on the group’s wishes, we can paddle for excample through the canal, under the Keiturisalmi bridge or towards the downstream of the rapids.
