Confirmation camps year around in Marttinen

For confirmation camps, the Marttinen youth centre, built around the Old Vicarage building, offers a wealth of opportunities, including pleasant classrooms and a chapel for silent reflection and divine service. You can also add activities to the camps to help participants experience the themes of the camp in a practical way.

At Marttinen, it is possible to organise a confirmation camp thematically, as an adventure camp or as a green one (“Vihreä ripari”).

For congregations’ use:
Marttinen’s own chapel, communion vessels, hymn and choir books, songbooks, guitar, grand piano, electric piano, nature walk, lean-to or hut.

The price includes accommodation in 2–6 bed dorms with the camper’s own bed linens, breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, at confirmation camps there is an evening snack and, for the group, two self-organised sauna slots, and equipment and rooms for self-organised activities (when reserved) until 9 pm. For an extra price, evening snacks, bed linen and additional sauna slots are available.

VAT is not added to the prices.

Winter camp in winter time

Full board and two programs/activities* for each day of the school camp. 

Summertime are normally time for comfirmation camp, but what if it were held in winter - what you think about that? What opportunities does Finland's winter nature offer? The  camp program in Marttinen also includes a variety of activities in winter time, and the accommodation consists of hotel rooms or log cabin apartments available year-round.

With the winter camp offer, your class saves on costs while gaining memories and experiences in the winter landscape.

The price includes one programme for each confirmation camp day, accommodation in 2–6 bed dorms with the camper’s own linen, breakfast, lunch and dinner, one self-organised sauna slot per group, a supervised disco on Wednesdays, and equipment and rooms for self-organised activities (when reserved) until 9 pm. For an extra price, evening snacks, bed linen and additional sauna slots are available.

NOTE! Programs can be booked for weekdays only (not on Saturdays or Sundays). The program will be implemented daily by dinner time. Other programs are priced according to our price list.  

Our youth activities are exempt from value-added tax.

Sport camps in Marttinen and in Virrat

Camps for sport groups can include sport-specific exercises which take advantage of our wide range of exercise opportunities. Our multifunctional hall and outdoor pitches suit games and exercises. Our professional instructors safely help participants develop coordination and group work skills, for example by climbing on the high ropes course, indoor climbing wall, ice climbing tower, railway bridge or rock. Other forms of exercise available, which can provide some variety, are snow-shoe walking, canoeing, kicksled trips or rambling treks.

In addition to these opportunities, the nearby sports areas and sports halls, such as the Virtain Ice Arena - Erkan Areena, together with Marttinen's dining and accommodation opportunities, provide opportunities for diverse training and hobby camps.

Camps for youth groups

The aim of a youth camp organiser is to be able to give the group the chance to learn new things about its hobby, strengthen the group spirit and/or develop social skills for life. Marttinen offers excellent surroundings for this through its diverse activities and the camp programmes we plan in cooperation with our clients.

The Marttinen youth centre is a good venue for larger youth camps and events of 150–200 people. In addition to the largest meeting room, which accommodates 200, there are about seven smaller meeting and group work rooms nearby, making a wide range of activities possible. We can organise activity workshops and activities for larger events, too. At Marttinen, everything is within arm’s reach and still right in the middle of nature. The Virrat traditional village (Virtain Perinnekylä) is in the same area, surrounded by water.
