Summer events and activities for everyone

The summer in Virrat can be seen in the happy people and a multitude of summer events. The traditional Midsummer Market takes place every Midsummer’s Eve in Virrat Heritage Village. MuksuFestarit is the summer’s most fun event for all children and childlike adults. The KesäVirratSoi! event provides unique musical experiences in a gorgeous setting.

In winter, you can visit e.g. Pukkivuori ski resort, where you can do down-hill skiing and cross-country skiing on a ski trail network of international proportions.

Pre-made excursion packages and guided services are available for groups around the year.

Take a look at the Näsijärvi lake trail for cyclists as well. Virrat is involved in the Järvitie route of the Näsijärvi route, where a part of the journey can be made on board steamboat s/s Tarjanne!
